FAQs / Help
The farm is open from 10am – 5:30pm. Your chosen arrival time helps us to manage our capacity, but you are welcome to stay on-site for as long as you like, until closing time.
Note: some of our animal areas close at dusk during the darker, winter months.
If you have booked a ticket for a timed event, such as special Halloween activities or Father Christmas at the Farm, you must arrive at least 20 minutes before your booked time slot. When you first arrive at the farm, please have your ticket ready and our Reception staff will direct you to the activity. Each session will start promptly and unfortunately we cannot wait for late arrivals.
You’re welcome to bring a picnic with you. Food and drinks are also available to buy in our Farm Kitchen and Farm Café. We politely ask you not to bring any of your own alcohol on-site.
We welcome well-behaved dogs at the farm, but do ask that they are kept on a lead at all times and are not left unattended. Please note, dogs are not permitted in the Farm Kitchen & Play Barn, the Animal Barn, Creature Corner and any walk-through animal enclosures (inc. bird display), with the exception of guide dogs.
Animal feed for selected livestock and fish food for the pond are available to purchase. Please do not bring your own food for any of the animals, ducks or fish.
We are a no smoking Farm. For the comfort of our animals and guests, we respectfully ask that you only smoke in the car park, including those using electronic cigarettes or vaping. Thank you for your cooperation.
We have a large on-site car park that is free of charge, with plenty of room for buses and coaches. Disabled parking spaces are available directly outside our reception building.
- Farm admission tickets and event specific tickets are non-refundable.
- It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to check the ticket before arrival. It may not be possible to rectify errors on the day of the visit.

Weather-Related Cancellation Policy
We understand that the British weather can be unpredictable, and occasionally, conditions such as heavy snow, ice, or other extreme weather may impact your plans to visit us.
In the Event of Adverse Weather
If Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park is required by local or national guidance or the business takes the decision to close due to severe weather conditions, including but not limited to heavy snow or ice, we will notify all ticket holders as soon as possible. In this situation, guests will be offered the option to reschedule their visit to an alternative date, or, if preferred, receive a full refund.
What if I Cancel My Ticket Due to Adverse Weather?
Farm admission tickets and event specific tickets are non-refundable. However, guests may purchase the optional Flexi Booking Add On at the time of making their original booking. Guests who have purchased this add on have the flexibility to change their booking as many times as required, up to the point of the ticket redemption.
- Changes must be made at least 24 hours before the original booked date.
- Changes can be made online by creating an account and logging in or emailing info@hogshawfarm.co.uk.
- No refunds will be due if the new date is available at a lower sale price.
- Flexi Booking Add-On cannot be added to a booking after initial purchase. It must be added at the time of original booking.
- Tickets may not be resold and are not transferable.
In addition to the above, if you are an annual member and received a staggered discount for our Hogshaw School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, or Christmas at the Farm events, you will be required to pay any difference in ticket price for rescheduling to an alternative date.
What if Weather Conditions Deteriorate During My Visit?
We will regularly monitor weather conditions on-site and take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our guests. If conditions deteriorate during your visit, we may decide to close certain areas of the park, or the entire park and we reserve the right to so at our discretion. In such an event, we will offer guests the option to return for a complimentary visit on an alternative date. No refunds will be given and we cannot guarantee alternative dates during popular events as these may be fully booked.
